Museum tours, especially ghost tours, were something I had always seen in movies but never had the chance to experience myself. Ever since I started researching, I have become extremely fascinated by a variety of topics, and ghosts have been one of them.

Evie, the tour guide, was extremely kind and attentive. I first reached out through their website, and Evie helped me purchase my tickets directly through email. Their tickets are also available on Fever. Throughout the whole tour, she interacted with my 9-year-old and made his experience better and more enjoyable.

One of the questions explored throughout the tour was fear. Through my own research, I have become interested in the connection between ghost stories and the fears of the era in which they were told. The fact that this was one of the tour’s themes immediately caught my attention.

We explored different parts of the museum at a pace where it was comfortable enough to pay attention and enjoy the stories. The Met is a very busy museum, but it wasn’t as distracting as I thought it would be. At one point, other visitors who weren’t part of our tour stopped to listen to Evie and stayed for a while. Her storytelling is really captivating, and it was one of my favorite parts of the experience. I didn’t expect the tour to be so interactive. Evie asked questions, encouraged discussion, and genuinely listened to everyone’s responses. I had expected it to be more of a one-way experience, so that was a really nice touch.

There are mentions of death, but my 9-year-old seemed to both enjoy and understand the topic anyway. Overall, the experience was really enjoyable. It was very informative, interactive, and makes you think. There is also an activity in between, and you also get to meet cool strangers from other parts of the world and share some ghost stories of your own.

There are also mentions of other topics, like witches, and I am looking forward to joining future tours like the magic tour. I have uploaded limited pictures to not ruin the surprise.
